You guys should check out Lord K's (The Project Hate MCMXCIX) sideproject God Among Insects. They use 6-string guitars in E/F-tuning (an octave below standard) With an old school swedish dm sound.

_Protoss_: yeah it got kinda djenty.. I only have 0.62 on the low B-string so hence the djent I think thinner strings yield more djent, but I don't really like the feeling of thin strings. I used Revalver mkIII for the gits..

Lowberg: I used the DOD DEATH METAL distortion pedal for the banjo. The "banjo" is actually not a banjo, it is a downpitched recording of a puppy being tortured with sandpaper. No impulse on that one.
