Give it up for RJ Blaze, everyone, whose birthday was Wednesday, Nov. 4!
For those of you who don't know RJ by name, you surely know him as The Iron Maidens' "Eddie"! No one can wave a scythe, handle a brain on a platter, or engage Adrianna Smith in a cyborg laser duel the way Mr. Blaze can. His Powerslave Mummy is legendary, while his Satan will leave you wishing you kept that copy of the Bible those Jehova Witnesses left at your home!
But, wait--there's more! RJ is also a very talented vocalist, whose AC/DC tribute band Highway to Hell (one of several of his musical projects) will be playing with us--along with Pantera tribute, Domination 101--at the Blue Cafe on Nov. 13!
On a more personal note, one of the first things I noticed about RJ was how sweet and soft-spoken he is, in contrast to his imposing height and monster personas.
