IMO NYHC is the absolute best from the genre.

Ugh, these contemporary hardcore bands are so tame and predictable it makes me sick. Give me Minor Threat, Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Born Against etc any day.

2 of the 5 I listed aren't American, I'd be well keen to hear some non-American hardcore recommendations.

well it's just the fact that Belgian and Dutch understanding of hardcore is more house, speedcore, techno and more music like that.
