Falconer is an excellent melodic metal band from who knows where. :tickled: I love the singer's voice, unfortunately he was kicked out of the band not long after they released their last album. They have a new lineup now though.

I especially recommend Clarion Call by Falconer, the tune is too catchy to resist.

Falconer are from Sweden. I didn't know that the singer is gone. He had a unique voice. I like them also. Hopefully they can get a good replacement for the singer. I also like alot of other power metal bands that you like. One of my new faves is Dream Evil.

Falconer is alright from what I've heard, but nothing really sparked for me listening to them. They didn't stand out.

Falconer fucking rocks!!! They are my favorite swedish band. I can't believe Dodens says that they didn't stand out. Thier singer is fucking excellent, he sounds nothing like any other power metal singer. I think he is the best singer in power metal. The guy has balls, you know. His voice is very warm and makes you sing along. It's a shame he left the band, They probably won't be my fav band with their new album because thier new singer sounds like Hansi Kursch (atleast to me). I like Hansi's voice but only when its him singing it.

I have Falconer's latest album Chapters From A Vale Forlorn and it is pretty damn good. I heard that their first album is even better though and I plan on checking it out soon. All in all very cool band, definetly ceck them out.

Also to whoever mentioned Dream Evil they kick so much ass, another band everyone should look into.

Although I haven't heard much from them, they seem to be a pretty decent band. The lead singer's voice is unique, very operatic and very different from your typical high-pitched power metal vocals. Also, the instrumentals are very catchy and pleasing to the ears....definitely worth checking out.....

I guess it wasn't high pitched and girly enough for yah ey? Come on, Blad is fucking phenominal.

Don't be a fucking idiot. I wouldn't listen to Grave Digger if all I wanted was to listen to 'high pitched and girly' vocals. I just don't care for his voice. Oh wait, that makes me a poser though, right? Fucking jackass.

ooh, poser sounds pissed off
but seriously dude, it doesn't make you a poser its just that most power metal singing is lacking in the balls department. I think thats why there aren't nearly as many singing metal bands. I know metallers that rather listen to death vocals than singing and thats just fucked man. Most of it is because when they think of metal singing the think of King Diamond and Halford, and most of that stuff is just high pitched and just damn annoying. Metal needs more singing, or should I say, Metal needs singers with balls.

FALCONER Complete Work On 'The Sceptre Of Deception' - Aug. 4, 2003 Sweden's FALCONER have finished the recordings for their third album, "The Sceptre Of Deception", due on October 6 through Metal Blade Records.

Says mainman Stefan Weinerhall, "This album is a concept album about greed, falseness and megalomania in the 1300s in Sweden. It is based upon a true story. Actually, a concept album to me is always a bit hard to listen to and sort of strange with all those short 'who cares songs' between the real ones. This one is not like that, but is a normal FALCONER album with some more variations and unexpected turns.

"Well, the fact that we've changed the singer makes it not 100% a 'normal' FALCONER album. I can promise a lot of guest appearances and that alone makes the album more varied.

"We are so very satisfied with the album since the last year has brought so many new things to the band like more members, live gigs and the feeling of 'a real band.' Now we can't wait to get the album out and get out there and promote it live!"

The complete track listing for "The Sceptre Of Deception" is as follows:

01. The Coronation
02. Trail Of Flames
03. Under The Sword
04. Night Of Infamy
05. Hooves Over Northland
06. Pledge For Freedom
07. Ravenhair
08. The Sceptre Of Deception
09. Hear Me Pray
10. Child Of Innocence
