If not...

Acclaimed Swedish metallers OPETH will embark on a U.K. tour in March.

This trek will be the first of two U.K. tours planned for 2003, and is very specifically geared towards the heavier material featured on the group's recent "Deliverance" CD. The second, yet-to-be-scheduled tour is planned to show the "Damnation" side of OPETH — pure bluesy, classic acoustic, beautiful mellowness. Expect venues to be unusual.

Dates for the "Deliverance" U.K. tour are as follows:

Mar. 10 - Portsmouth, UK @ Wedgwood Rooms
Mar. 11 - Manchester, UK @ Hop & Grape
Mar. 12 - London, UK @ Mean Fiddler
Mar. 13 - Exeter, UK @ University
Mar. 14 - Glasgow, Garage
Mar. 15 - Nottingham, Rock City
Mar. 16 - Bradford Rio
Mar. 17 - Birmingham Academy
Mar. 19 - Dublin, Whelan's

The OPETH alter-ego album, "Damnation", is due for release in March/April 2003.

Opeth are gonna be occupied with touring and the Damation release at least till the end of april...will Australia miss out again !

I think it's pretty damn awesome that they are doing a seperate tour for each album...and the whole "unusual venues" thing is quite intriguing .

Agreed...maybe when they're in the States for that tour, they'll go to more unusual places, like the South! like ky....

I'll tell ya what...I am glad that I don't live in the "south" for that very reason! That's no offense to you .My siblings live in Arkansas and those poor fools don't get to see ANY shows down there...hell they don't even let some movies get released in that state. Hopefully they come to a nearby state for you .

Well, I hope so, just not during the Inferno Festival.
I don't want another festival set. I want a headlining
show this time! >) That would be cool! But hell...
Seeing Opeth is good in itself, even if they do end up
playing the Inferno >)

Well, it's not on the tourdates. The only thing close is the Oslo gig in april...
