Has anyone tried Slate Platinum with metalfoundry?

I wondered if anyone has done experimenting with slate and metalfoundry, or superior whatsoever. Is it a good idea to blend those? And would it be good to use the metalfoundrys room samples or stick with the slates? Do people usually use the slate all the way or do this kind of blending with other virtual instruments on programmed drums? :) Thanks!

The cymbals in TMF sound great, the toms are OK and the snares are dreadful. Uinge TMF as the basis with Avatar shells as X-Drums + a bit of slate should be great.

I use bleed, but sometimes I control it, lowering what I don't want in the track, sometimes eliminating it all.

Yeah, i purchased ssd platinum the other day and been messing around with it. Gotta mess around like hell with the samples to know which ones are suitable for smack and which for pOppens. :D I thought that i'd have with the SSD platinum some wav files to use with trigger but the hell? I just gotta create a midi track if i want to blend slate samples with the project i've starting to mix? Do i REALLY have to purchase trigger platinum also? :D

- metal foundry cymbals
- allaire 3 tom set (best sounding toontrack toms IMHO)
- slate kick 10, snare 12a

that's where i usually start at.
i also blend in some LSD samples for some extra smack!

cheers

Well, maybe it`s just me, but I really like Haake`s snares from TMF, but then again, I more use his snare from DFHS as an X-drum...has the 'poppiness' I just love about his sound  just a little OT
