Has the DEVIL SIGN/SIGN OF HORNS lost its appeal due to posers and commercial crap?

So I follow this blog of this guy cos he has long curly hair and he normally gives some cool advice on hair and other stuff. I was reading an article by him on the devil sign and how it has come to mean jack all these days because all posers do it with their posing (especially commercial popstars). The article is hilarious and worth the read for metal fans and poser-haters :Smokedev:

The bastardized devil sign

I found the list he made hilarious about only the people he lists being allowed to do the devil sign and I think he is right about Avril Lavigne and all that commercial crap pulling the devil sign to look hardcore. I hardly rock the devil sign, only if I am at a heavy metal concert but I normally don't do hand gestures.

What is your opinion on what the devil sign means nowadays? Do you guys use this gesture daily or on specific occasions? :headbang:

It's not a devil sign.
Wards off the evil eye. DIO popularized it.

To me it means something is awesome and I dig it totally.
