Just purchased the new album, fookin heavy. Guitar tone is proper evil, love it! that Zeuss geezer has done an awesome job on this record.

I heard the threshold song awhile back and FUCKING LOVE IT. For some reason a lot of my friends don't like hatebreed but i think they sound great can't wait to hear the whole album

I do admit though, I'm a man of complex and mad song structures. But Hatebreed agression makes it for me though, gets you rared up before boxing like know ones business!

yes i always wanna kick someone in the face when i hear hatebreed, It just proves you don't have to have 100 different changes with 10 different tempos to have a good song. music can be simple some people think it sucks because of that.

i agree with all the negativity towards hatebreed, but they can write really catchy songs with great grooves to them. their music pumps you up and makes you wanna move.

I really like all of their albums and the new one sure didn't dissappoint me. The guitar sound is sooo good. Too bad zeuss doesn't have his own forum...

sounds ok but the 2 previous albums sounded better imo.
listening to hatebreed is like watching an arnie film, it's not intelligent, creative or artisic but it's big, dum, agressive and gets the adreneline going.
sometimes that's all u want.
dont always feel like listening to dream theatre or watching donnie darko, sometime u just wanna listen to meathead metal or watch commando!

I just saw them last night and they suck. Big time. They sounded more like a local band than an experienced outfit. It was a strange lineup - Exodus, Napalm, Black Dahlia, and.....Hatebreed??? I went to see everyone else besides Hatebreed. Tiny little geeky guys trying to make toughguy music isn't my cup of tea. What a weird crowd too. I've never seen that many skinny, shaved head trailer-trash with wife beaters and tattoos since I got out of the military. Poserville.

i cant really understand all the hatebreed bashing. they suck? dont know about that. they arent my favorite band or anything and i can only take them in super small doses, but theyve done alot for heavy music and continue to do so. they are a hardcore band that has some metal tendencies. they do hardcore really well. if they were a metal band they would come up short for sure. i think theyve stayed pretty true to their roots considering how big theyve become. they are kinda like slayer in the fact that if they did anything even really slightly different, they would lose everybody who likes them. i know what you are saying about the meathead factor though, it cant be denied .

I dig 'em, but the new album isn't that great in terms of production, IMO. The guitar tones flat out suck to me. Whenever you hear a break that has just guitar, it is so fuzzed up and ill-defined. Makes a mockery of Marshall amps, IMO. The drums sound OK, but not as thick and booming as the last 2 Zeuss produced albums. I liked the production of Perseverence and Rise of Brutality better. At least they tried to do something different this time out, production-wise. But, it doesn't match the sonic impact of the last 2 albums. But, I dig the songs and lyrics on this one more...Go figure.

I like bands like Hatebreed, because they are a no frills bands...Just slam the riffs and pound the drums. Sometimes that is as effective as throwing out an incoherent 45-riffs-in-one-song epic with 15 solos and a semi-structure that makes no sense. I like metal with structure, and I hear so many bands nowadays who seem to think it's the kiss of death, so it's nice to hear some verse/chorus/verse/bridge stuff every now and then. When it is well written, it can be as "technical" as anything.

like ozzfest. they were one of the first underground heavy acts on the bill which paved the way for other underground acts. they were one of the first hardcore/metal bands signed to a major. jamey on headbangers ball has gotten bands on their which has really helped their careers. all i am sayin is they have helped the cause.
