like ozzfest. they were one of the first underground heavy acts on the bill which paved the way for other underground acts. they were one of the first hardcore/metal bands signed to a major. jamey on headbangers ball has gotten bands on their which has really helped their careers. all i am sayin is they have helped the cause.

You're joking, right?

why is it a joke? what have you done for heavy music latley?

It's a joke because none of that is true. As for what have I done for heavy music lately - well, I walked out on Hatebreed and got drunk at the bar with the rest of the longhairs who didn't want to see them either. :heh:

thats pretty funny. i laughed out loud actually. oh yeah, people with short hair dont party and listen to hardcore while people with long hair listen to metal and get wasted. is that how it is. is that all you could do for heavy music latley? im sure the dudes in hatebreed are doing more than you are. and again for the record, i dont think they are the best band or anything. i just think they were getting sold alittle short in this thread. ive met them a few times, did their sound at a show one night, a friend of mine was their tour manager and they are cool dudes in my book. plus they are playing the music they want to play:kickass: .

I have this one album by them from when I was first getting into metal. "satisfaction is the death of desire"- that album has a pretty shit production but it's easily better than anything else they've put out IMO. I do remember liking perseverence when it first came out but it's sorta boring now- too repetitive.

They are pure energy, even having some "dull" moments they're entertaining to me, same as biohazard were. It's the kind of band that makes me become a kid listening music instead of a tecnician analizing it.
Simply put, it's no frills straight music.
