CHILDREN OF BODOM Land First-Ever Gold Album - Mar. 21, 2003
CHILDREN OF BODOM's latest CD, "Hate Crew Deathroll", certified gold for sales in excess of 15,000 copies in their native Finland. It is the group's first-ever gold album. Also certified gold was the single "You're Better Off Dead", which has shifted more than 5,000 copies since it was released last September. In other news, it has now been confirmed that CHILDREN OF BODOM will NOT participate in the upcoming memorial concert for FINNTROLL/IMPALED NAZARENE guitarist Teemu "Somnium" Raimoranta, who died Sunday morning (March 16) from injuries sustained in an accidental fall he took while intoxicated.

Upcoming CHILDREN OF BODOM Finnish tour dates:

Mar. 26 - Oulu, FIN @ Foxia
Mar. 27 - Jyväskylä, FIN @ Lutakko
Mar. 28 - Joensuu, FIN @ Huvitörmä
Mar. 29 - Evijärvi, FIN @ NS
Apr. 04 - Tampere, FIN @ Pakkahuone
Apr. 05 - Helsinki, FIN @ Nosturi (sold out)

(Thanks: Timo Isoaho / Sonera Plaza Kaista)

30 000. Not much compared to 1 million, heh. But it's a small country, the best-selling album last year (Gimmel, don't ask) sold something like 83 000, so 15 000 isn't bad for a band like CoB.
