hello guys.
i'm planning to buy ssd but i'm not sure.. you guys think that i'll have better results while recording? is the ssd woth the money? what you think?

I just upgraded in my DAW to SSD's.

The OS/Programs drive made the biggest difference by far! It boots super fast and programs start almost instantly. Plugins seem to be more responsive too if they don't depend on dongles. And I was able to save some cash by just getting a 256GB one.

For the recording drive, I haven't noticed as much of a speed increase unless I am copying files and sessions around. Sessions may load a bit faster but recording and mixing can only go as fast as the music. Maybe you can handle more tracks, but with regular 7200RPM hard drives, I have never maxed out.

I had originally bought a single 500GB HDD for my newer PC. It fluke-failed on me in about a month. Returned it, got another one and also grabbed a 120GB SSD and I have my OS and DAW on it. Totally worth it! Like others have said - super fast boot time, programs open fast, etc.
