So basically I'm looking for decent headphones to capture flat nice sounding the low end because my room and monitors are playing tricks on me. I'm using M-Audio BX8as and I hear people saying they are a little harsh and bass heavy. Espeically since they have 8" woofers. I listen to my mixes in my car and they are not only bass heavy but some areas the the lows are quite loud. I know I should get used to the monitors but if I can't hear it right then I need to move on to different options.
I'd say set the budget at around $200. Not trying to go too crazy even though I'd love to.
Also, I have the Saffire Pro24. Do I need a headphone amp?
