Would I be safe?

Alright so I have the volume knob on my monitors at 50% but they often get hit and it's quite annoying having to turn them back up or down. Can I just turn the volume on the monitors all the way and just adjust the monitor mix level on my Saffire Pro24?

Using M-Audio BX8as.

Yes that is safe.

Power amps don't have attenuation as a rule, so they're always on 100% power. You attenuate with a volume control. like the one one the front of your Saffire.

No point in having 2 volume controls. Also, having them on full will make it easier to balance the level between the 2 speakers, which is an issue when adjusting each speaker independently.

You're safe until something goes wrong with your interface or you accidentally unplug something noisily.

Only downside with have the volume on the speakers at max is that it may induce more hiss and if something goes boom with volume open loud, you might shit your pants (power outage or disconnecting mic cable when phantom power is on) or on the worst case scenario break your tweeters, like when Pro Tools version 8.0.3 had those white noise burst problems...

That's what monitor controllers are for. My monitors don't even have volume pots.
