This song called Wheels sounds like El Dorado! Well if you stretch the truth a bit. I guess they wanted to capture the Barracuda vibe. I don't know what the album is like as a whole but I'm taking a wild guessing there's no Alone on it!

probably not since they didn't even write it. it was written by duo who had a group called I-Ten. their album has been reissued by none other than...Rock Candy Records.

Dude you are educating the wrong guy hehe - I am the original AOR junky. I know I-Ten very well indeed and knew they had written that song originally. I was just saying that an "Alone" type of song was not gonna happen on the new record. A power ballad with big vocals and lush production etc. Can I ask you a question? How come you like AOR, melodic rock and power metal so much and yet you are the singer in a rubbish deathcore band like Killwhitneydead which plays the antithesis of these genres? Your band mates must think you're loopy! I don't get it! :)
Well that's a lie I do get it sort of. Sort of in the sense that I am a big death metal fan myself but the thing is you like shitty deathcore and that's about the worse genre of music known to man IMO of course no offence meant!

By the way don't take offence at me calling your band rubbish cause I'm sure you realise you are definitely not a great band. I mean you're not Morbid fuckin' Angel are you, you're just some band called Killwhitneydead. Once again no offence meant just wondering how come you are into this music, maybe it's an age thing and you are old enough to remember these bands first time round from the radio and that has stayed with you. Do explain! :)

i never take offense to opinion especially that of my own band. people that do are silly and need to grow thicker skin. we have our fans and you aren't one...so naturally i am over it. hahaha.

i love all kinds of music (not just metal) but i started getting connected when i joined a hardcore band when i was in high school back in the late 80's and i always connected better to that genre since it was smaller and more intimate. kind of hard to truly be connected to bands like Journey and Iron Maiden and the like back in the 80's when they are playing to 15,000 other fans in the crowd.

but the other main reason is i cannot sing i can only scream so i only have one option, but even in KWD's music i try to interject my metal roots. we have guitar solos in ever song, and dating back to 2005 on our second album i had Shawn (LINE OF FIRE) do melodic vocals on one of our songs.

i also play drums, but every drummer for KWD has been better than me so i stayed clear of that as well until recently when we needed to track drums for two upcoming cover songs by DOKKEN and WARLOCK and i did those. we also have a cover of Rock You To Hell coming soon as well so i try and intermingle all of my influences into what i do. whether people like it or not? i actually never care because i do it all in the name of fun.

also, one of our guitarists idolizes George Lynch and the other one loves power metal. so it's not too far of a stretch for them to know why i like what i do, despite being in a death metal influence hardcore band.
