April 28 it looks like. And that cover art is badass too. I hope they do another US tour soon, I didn't catch them the last time they were around.

DIOMMI!

Looking forward to checking this out...

Do I file it with the rest of my Black Sabbath CDs though :erk: Decisions, decisions!

The song is alright, not something of a style I like however (I actually never got into Dio or similar bands).

Heaven & Hell, my friend!!

Yes, I will be buying this regardless. However, I think the cover art blows. Looks like a cheese-ball death metal cover. I expected something much more mature and tasteful. These guys are way beyond trying to be STOOPER-KVLT METULZZ!!

The cheap cover very much reflects the cheap lyrics (at least on Bible Black).

Don't know why, but this kinda reminds me of Manowar with a little less trveness. Nothing really special, but Dio's vocals are good as always. The music itself is quite boring in my opinion.

Won't buy it.

Definitely more in the Dio-esque style than even the old stuff (H&H album, Mob Rules). To be the real shit, Iommi must write the music, and Geezer must write the lyrics. Otherwise you get a lot of songs with the words "Rock 'n' Roll" in them (as seen/heard on Dio albums, Rainbow albums, and THIS album). We'll just have to see how the rest sounds...

...'tis already in my budget, though:)...

WOOO HOOOO!!!! That was awesome! Thank you for posting this. I've been looking forward to this coming out ever since the rumors started after the Dio Years album hit the stores. I've never been a big fan of Black Sabbath with any other vocalists (I know, sacreligious to some) but there was just something about that Dio / Iommi combination that was (and obviously still is) pure gold. I knew they still had it in them when I heard The Devil Cried and if this is any indication of the new album, its going to be one hell of a good album. Sure, Ronnie's voice isn't quite what it was 25 or 30 years ago. But it's still damn good. And of course Alteredmindeath summed it up perfectly...how could you NOT want to hear more from Iommi?

Cheesy lyrics? Ehhhh...probably. But hey, Dio's appeal has always been escapism. Who wants to listen to Dio and Sabbath doing songs about losing his girlfriend??? Will it be as good as Heaven and Hell or Mob Rules? No, probably not. But I'm not expecting it to be THAT good. I'm just expecting this to be one of the best releases of 2009, and from this sample it seems to have all the makings of just that. Can you tell that I'm excited? I'm getting this one as soon as it hits the shelves.

BTW....I'm kind of surprised that nobody has brought up the covers similarity to Holy Diver (Okay maybe it's kind of a subtle similarity, but I see it all the same).

I like the cover not the picture itself as it is rather conventional but the red and the label is really cool.

Why don't they just call it Black Sabbath? (probably to avoid playing paranoid when playing live)

I don't really like the vocals so I won't listen to the album.

Why don't they just call it Black Sabbath?

1.) They don't want people to expect them to play Ozzy tunes because they're beyond clear that they won't.

2.) Potential legal issues between the H&H boyz and the Ozzy/Sharon enterprise. Best to just stay away from that train wreck.

I'd also like to add that any of the new H&H songs released (from the compilation album AND this new one) own the fuck out of those 2 songs on the reunion album with Ozzy. Those sounded like recycled shit from Ozzmosis.

I'd also like to add that the original Sabbath (up until and including Sabotage) owned all!

I've listened to this song so many times since it came out. I should probably stop before I get sick of it even before the album comes out.
