Heavy deathcore/metalcore (Chelsea grin, oceano, Silence)

Wrote a song today. Came out pretty nicely. Found some nice background leads and I think I have found a nice heavy kick drum. Guitar Rig 4 + SSD + own samples. Whoever said guitar rig sucked is a lier.

the drums sounded somewhat "fake" to me. leads and synths were great though. could you give us more info about what you did with the guitars?

To be honest I don't think the guitars are anything to get excited about. They sound kind off muffled and buried in the mix under the drums.

One of the best metal tones I've heard from Guitar Rig in the last years... But still not so great.

I used some presets I found over at guitarampmodeling.com and tweaked/worked on them myself.
One Middle layer of a djenty preset that I tweaked.
Left and Right Layer One was another preset previously called Parkway Drive that I worked on.
Second Left and Right layer I used my own preset.
Lastly had a very low bassy preset that comes with guitar rig 4 and I recorded it using my guitar. It's very quiet in the mix though.

Leads I used some reverb vsts I found online and used them with some stock presets that came with guitar rig 4 (I think it was a U2 preset haha).


For bass I used the same preset as the one above, but recorded with a real bass.

If anyone wants these presets I can upload them. I used absolutely no Eq outside of guitar rig on these.
