I know this has been out for a while but I only recently watched and found it enthralling. I checked on the band and see Acrassicauda were relocated to America earlier this year by the International Rescue Committee.

What they went through to play metal is unbelievable, no wonder James Hetfield gave them a guitar when he met them!:kickass: I wish them the best of luck with their metal quest in the free world.

I saw a documentary about this band. Really inspiring stuff. Just goes to show you how powerful heavy metal is, how it crosses all boundaries and the passion of the fans is so great that like these guys the will do anything to create and be involved in the music. Glad to hear that they are safe and still playing as I wondered what happened to them after the documentary.

We will win when heavy metal will play in Iran or Saudi Arabia, specially if the bands are a cross between Tankard and Deicide (beer and satanic)

Back on topic, thanks for the link I will check it later.

There is one spot in the movie where they are playing some riffs from one of their own songs and it is a riff that uses a very middle eastern type of melody and it's super cool. I love the idea of these guys incorporating their personal heritage into their metal. That to me is what is really interesting when individuals put their own background and experiences into their music.
