i stopped my first try for the first level at about 12000 and the bar was not even 10% full what do i win?

So where's the sense in it when you have to die on purpose if you want to reach the next level?

You don't have to die on purpose, you have to kill the dudes and get to the fractions of the bar. 1/4 each level. Shooting the guitars helps, you get more points

The bar only increases when somebody reaches the other side. I killed enough for 11000 points but the bar didnt move.
