hellfest 2006 photos

Rain and the total chaos that ensued on friday at the opening was the low point (that..and no LOG).
I loved Walls of Jerico, great live energy and fanastic female vox!
Despite MH's sound i thought they were really on form and Rob Flynn is very humble nowadays.

My whole family (wife & 2 kids)went and we camped 8km from the festival with showers and toilets which in hind site was a great move.

Even my 10year old daughter loved the festival (after she got over her fear of "all the strange metal looking people"). She thought Megadeth and MH were the best. My back was done in after three days of her on my shoulders though.

Great memories!

Yes there was a strange sounding guitar. I didn´t care for Atheist but i remember noticing that. Now that you say i share your opinion. I also don´t cre for Cynic (sorry!) but the pre-recorded album vocals on top of their instrumental show sounded very weird. Walls Of Jericho was the best hardcore show i´ve ever seen. Incredible power and Candance is out-of-this-world. Me and the guys were at the festival camping but everyday we went to Vertou´s camping park to have a shower.

I still much prefer studio work but helping one of my all time favorite band is such an honour. Plus they are very nice and humble persons, and I'll get to see the band a few times which can't hurt (except on a musical way of thinking, as next to them you feel so small and insignificant). I'm gonna record the show in Paris, so if you're there, make some noise!!!
