Hello. I am looking forward to becoming active on this board whether discussing music, cooking and everything in between.
At one time, several years ago, I wrote album reviews for a board called Odd Shaped which evolved into Lovelost Records. Lovelost put out the first Black Dahlia Murder EP. I thoroughly enjoyed writing reviews for the site and have missed that aspect of my online experience.
Music I have been listening to now falls into a category or genre that has caused much contention where to 'label' and therefore I won't begin to attempt to place this sound in one bucket but are Isis, Pelican, Red Sparowes and others. To me, it's post-metal when the discussion arises but look forward to dialogue on UM. Having said that, I definitely listen to a broad spectrum of music ranging from Pixies to Boards of Canada to DnB along with metal. I discovered Bon Iver last year and The Walkmen to add to the catalogue.
Nice to meet everyone,
