I am an Aussie metalhead, preferring old school death and thrash metal to other genres, though I like a bit of everything.

Death, Morbid Angel, Nocturnus, Slayer, Overkill, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Sodom, Possessed, Emperor, Immortal, Alchemist, Abramelin, Dungeon, Blind Guardian, Opeth, Borknagar, Metallica, SYL, Macabre, Mercyful Fate, Obituary.

The list is endless, my tastes are in all the right places, but my knowledge of obscure bands is rather limited, at this point in time.

My favorites as of now are: Absu, Alienation Mental, Bestial Mockery, Cryptopsy, Cumchrist, Disgorge (U.S.), Intestine Baalism, Lykathea Aflame, Malignancy, Psycroptic, Pyaemia, Retch, Spastic Ink, Squash Bowels, Vomit Remnants, and Wormed.

Good to see they're getting some overseas recognition, the Australian scene is quite under rated I think - check out our other death metal heroes Psychrist, Misery & Abramelin, if you can.
