Help achieving this type of horror ambience thing

Can you guys tell me what programs or sample library I could get a similar effect with?

It sounds more like a bunch of samples than an actual synth to me but I could be wrong



its the sound in the begging and it also plays over the breakdown at 1:10

My guess it's all piano. You can clearly hear there is this overdriven, distorted kind of lead + a piano in the background (with loads of plate reverb and effects and whatnot).
Try using some nice distortion effects on a piano and see if you have any success.

I'm also pretty sure it's a piano, fed into a delay, fed into a distortion. I once ran a synthesizer into a distortionpedal for fun, and it sounded exactly like that. Just drier.
