like what ? i was already thinking that the gain is weak. but most of the high gain amps of this time are really shitty when you shred ( like playing on high notes )

I'm going to cast another vote for the Peavey 5150/6505, they fucking destroy everything except your bank account.

Yeah. What he said. :p

Seriously, though, I just bought a combo (it arrived yesterday), and this thing fucking ROARS. And whoever says the clean is unusable, or that there is no clean, needs to try again, because the clean is gorgeous. Then again, I do have a single coil at the neck (EMG SA), and I do plug my guitar into the low-gain input (since there is far more than enough gain to go around on the lead channel), but with the rhythm pre gain turned down enough, I can get perfectly clean from the EMG 81 at my bridge. The SA sounds better, though, nice David Gilmour bell tone.

Anyway, enough about the clean, since that's not what you're looking for. The lead channel sounds a bit buzzy at bedroom level, but once you get the power tubes cooking (somewhere around 3-5 and up, lead post gain), it's amazing. If you can stand everything in the building rattling, that is. I haven't tried recording it yet because I don't have a mic, but I'm sure it'll do great. Just about everything I've heard everyone else do with it rocks hard.

Oh, and mine cost me $438.11 on eBay (plus about $80 shipping).
