Help with ezx metalheads

Hi guys i wonder if someone can please help me?. I have just started using metalheads and i import the midi track from tab it. For some reason which has me really scratching my head everytime the snare is hit it hits the rim, never hits the center. I have tried both midi numbers 38 and 40 and same problem. Am i missing something really simple here?

Try to increase the velocity of the hits in your DAW. I had a similar problem when importing guitar pro midi drum tracks. I set the velocity to 127 in Reaper and it solved the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually just figured out that tabit seems to be the problem. If i export the file to guitar pro and then save the midi from there it works fine. Can't really explain that at all but hey i can stop pulling my hair out now.
