Help with vocals?

Hey everyone im producing a pretty generic hardcore band right now and im having a hard time processing these vocals. I cant really get them to sit perfectly in the mix and im not just 100% sure on how to process these screams. I've done some research already but I have had no luck.

If you mix vocals a bit lower, the psycho-acoustic part of the brain automatically prioritises human voices, making it seem louder than what it may be.
Maybe also get some other generic hardcore recordings and compare.

When I mix screaming vocals i always use a Tube Screamer VST in the FX chain. I boost the mids were most of the screams are present and it also makes the scream to crack more, it's just overall really makes the vocals alot better.
