Well, if you haven´t got the money, you´re basically in deep shit, unless you want to own stuff illegally, in which case there is a plethora of programs. Drumkit from Hell sounds decent enough (I haven´t tried it myself, though, so it might as well suck deeply). Not too expensive either actually, I think it´s about $100 or something like that. The manufacturer has a website at http://drumkit.toontrack.com with samples.

Drumkit from Hell is mighty fine, in fact it's what you hear on my masterpiece which got NO ATTENTION on this board compared to everyone elses songs, but, DUMBASS, it's not a program! It's a bunch of samples and mappings that can be USED in other programs. DFH can be used with programs like Battery, LM4, DR008, HAlion, etc. which are plugins for the hot shot music programs like Cubase etc. For a stand alone program, there's Fruity Loops. I've never used it myself, but it's supposedy good.

Yes I just got it downloaded...as I initially suspected, the first time I tried to download it I was at work and there was something goofy going on with that computer
