I don't know if I have heard the Black Stone Cherry, but my brother speaks very highly of them. He and I have considerably different tastes, but know each other's tastes well and he seems to think I would dig them. Do you know any of their stuff ?

My wife heard one song on the radio and liked it so I downloaded it. She liked it more. She bought it. They're kind of a cross between Creed and Nickelback with some Southern Fried Rock thrown in for good measure. They're Roadrunner's new pet and are getting good support. I'll bring you a copy if you want, in four weeks. Or I can send you one.

Sept 11 : Andromeda, Manticora (hello JD :p)

Sept 22 : Vanden Plas

Oct 31 : Evergrey

Manticora should be fun. I enjoyed them quite a bit at last year's Prog Power. Their new one is not to my liking at all. :erk: I'm really jealous of that VP show. Evergrey on Halloween!!?!! That should be cool.

That would be killer!! By that time I can offer you to stay at my place. So that would eliminate any hotel costs. :headbang:

Be sure to PM me for the details. :headbang:

That's very kind of you Hawk and that would be great indeed, thanks a lot for the proposition :)

The main problem so far is that my friend I was supposed to come with won't be able to make it. Maybe I'll have to take my own car and drive alone all the way, which I'm not too fond of when it comes to long trips abroad. It will also depend on my time schedule at work, I'll let you know!

and another one added...

WED 13 SEPT BIEBOB-VOSSELAAR

JORN LANDE
(leadsinger from masterplan)
verry special exclusive clubshow !!!
+ support: KILLER

Please do. It would be great having you there. :)

Hmmm.... don't like Creed. I actually like Nickelback's guitar tone and the singer's voice, but they write the most generic songs imaginable. Maybe I will pass on that one. We play the local rock radio from time to time at work, so I am sure I will hear them soon.

this one caught my eye ;

Tony MacALPINE + Virgil DONATI + Billy SHEEHAN (usa)

Oh please go to that one and scream for me :headbang: . I'll kill for that one, Tony will play his solo material, and with that backupline must be a kick ass one.

I only managed to se him backing up Vai on the G3. Always wanted to see him live with his own material, if you manage to talk to him ask when a new solo album will come (and/or a CAB album :D)

I really hope I can take some time off that day (or better "night" too...Well, I'll be moving Hawk to his new residence :p that day, hopefully there's some energy and time left that to go and see Tony...

Great news! After you help our beloved Hawk to settle down go and celebrate to the gig :D

Henri! Gert!

I've got good news and bad news.

The bad news is that I won't be able to come to PP Europe for various reasons :erk: (One of them is Astral Doors coming in town :kickass:)

Now on to the good news : I'll very likely be there for the Nevermore gig in Belgium! :headbang: I'm so sick seeing them playing 45 minutes in festivals with a shitty sound, it's high time for a headliner gig.
The only drawback is that I will miss the Vanden Plas gig in Paris on the same day, Bryant's gonna kill me :D Too bad because their latest album has really grown on me, I think it's their best so far and I was looking forward seeing them. But I just can't miss a Nevermore club show...

Geeze! I wish I had such decisions to make! I'll be looking forward to a review of the Astral Doors show. I've just "discovered" them this week and they're kicking my ass. So far Atralism is a little ahead of Evil is Forever to my ears. That could change.

Oh, and I would have picked VP since Nevermore makes it through here about once a year or so.

Ha, you know what's funny Wheez'?

When I lived in the South few interesting bands came to my area, I missed tons of great tours that only went through the North of the country, and everybody complained about that.
Now that I've moved to the Parisian area, there are just too many concerts around here and sometimes I don't know which ones to attend! :Smug:

C'est la vie... ;)

Hence, I've just noticed that Trust and Glenn Hugues will play in Paris on the very same day in december :zombie: I'll probably choose Glenn Hugues...
Anyway, too many gigs is still better than no gig at all, I won't complain.

I'm happy for you Fang! :headbang: And just a little jealous. Having to choose between that many shows is like deciding how much fun to have. There can never be too much fun.
