Hey, not bad! I have insomnia, myself,so I'll try to find the true essence of a pick.. that should put me to sleep. Do you ever play them, or are they just novelty items?

I have 2 of each of the Maidens ones so I use 2 and have those 2 on my notice board but the Dave Murray one played NOTB and RTTH at the gig I saw in Glasgow so that is never getting used EVER!!!!!!!! :worship:

I see.. I gotta ask, what kind of geetars and amps do you use?
I guess I'm a pervert, I like playing maiden on my SG. Then again Adrian has done that.. ..and far better than myself!

My main guitar is an Ibanez S370 - it's my baby!

I also have a black Encore strat, black Westone Thunder I-A bass, and Encore western acoustic and a Hohner classical acoustic. I have a Kustom KGA10 amp but my main one is my Laney TFX1. I'm going to be getting a Crybaby sometime but the shop never has any in!!!

I've never seen H play an SG! You got a pic so I can see please?

That Ibanez looks sweet, yea I noticed at the jam the other night that Josephine used one too, just like James Young from Styx does too, and he is one of my favorites, because he is so smooth with that neck, and he can really make it sound squirrelly with good tone, nice thin neck like the Warmoth.

Anyway I’ve just got to know; what is the thickness on that Dave Murry pick? It looks the same as the Iron Maidens, around .88 or so...

I used to use a .60mm, but now I like them at 1mm or so.

I don't have any pics of Mr. Smith with his SGs.. I think there were quite a few on the POM CD cover booklet, though..

Thanks I love it!!! :headbang:

I think the Dave pick is about an .88. It's got the same feel and thickness to it as Jojo's white pick in that picture.

Heh I can top that Metallicat! I actually have Dave Murray's wristband froma concert in Orlando in 1996. I'll post a pic of it tomorrow.

I nearly got Janick's and I was so disappointed!!

I like the story of how I got the plectrum better tho. I was over on Janick's side with my best friend cos she's kinda short and didn't want to get stuck in the middle. My brother however ploughed his way to the middle in time for The Trooper. After the gig we all went home happy, even tho we'd not got anything (or so I thought!) I saw them on the 8th of December 2003 and Christmas that year I was very ill (I spent from boxing day to the 28th in the hospital :erk: ) but on Christmas day I was feeling very down. My brother handed me my present which was a pair of pyjamas and the Ramones "It's Alive" cd which I was chuffed about. Next he hands me this tiny parcel. I open it and it's a voucher for a free packet of crisps (which you could win out of packets) I found this kind of weird, but he told me to open it. I opened it up and there it was. I was so shocked and happy that I burst into tears!!! I don't think he was expecting that reaction but he was chuffed to bits that I thought so much of it! I tell you, it made my crappy Christmas all the happier. :headbang:

Here is my collection, complete with Dave Murray wristband.

Thanks. The black Ibanez is the first brand new guitar I have ever bought, the rest were secondhand, all bought from a music store in my hometown. I am thinking of buying a fifth, but I dunno, after the tuning issues that I have with my Ibanez, I want one that will stay in tune no matter how hard I beat on the thing!

Yeah I got to meet Satch, and I acted like a starstruck fan... couldn't say much but I smiled a lot. After all its not every day you get to meet a personal hero..

Awesome pics, Rendclaw! What kind of a bridge is on that black Ibanez? Looks.. funky. Must be the lights in that pic.

standard tremelo system... I just wish the thing stayed in tune better.

Man I wish I could help you there; you know I have found many dudes resist the Hipshot Trem-Setter, but I tell you it will not only keep your guitar in tune it will sustain the string energy while bending. The draw back is that you have to understand it, how it works and how to calibrate it. Yes they even work with Floyd Rose.

Yea as far as resistance is concerned, I even knew this guy who wouldn't even use finger ease spray, he was like just religious about it and he would say "This guitar is to Eddie's specs..."; therefore.. blah blah, and then this dude would use liquid bandage on his finger tips because they got burned down to rawness, but you know, he didn't even know how to solo...

Tuning problems often come from nut and saddle problems.. The tremolo spring alingnment can do wonders as well.

Well me thinks, he is referring to coming out of tune after a dive-bomb... ;) nuts can make the string stick if not lubed, but me thinks he has the floyd rose nut, me thinks the nuts is not the problem.. His problem is typical I've seen it a hundred times. Me thinks it's the bridge resting position.
