Personaly i am love this awesome game. I am use Hammer of Thyrion http://uhexen2.sourceforge.net/ for better OpenGL support.
For Heretic and HeXen best source port GZDoom http://grafzahl.drdteam.org/
Love Heretic II too, i am play all of them games online (public multiplayer)
