yup. the usa being as big as it is can be both a blessing and a curse for bands. on one hand, venues are much closer proximity to one another compared to Canada, but on the other hand, it can be very costly to go from one end of the country to the other. It's at LEAST a grand in gas not counting food, van rental fees, etc.

True. A lot of open road between the Midwest and the West Coast. I've had to drive that a few times, kinda rough.
 
I'm used to driving 2 hours to go to shows in Los Angeles. I was willing to drive 4+ to San Francisco too. I can understand how expensive it is to get out this far, but I had hope that I could see both Pain of Salvation and Riverside on their respective tours this year. Hopefully someday. Hmmm...but maybe I could be willing to fly somewhere...I'll think about it :P

[Edit]: I just realized this is a thread on Kingcrow so maybe I shouldn't be making the assumption that Pain of Salvation is also a part of this tour...
