The dvds are video singles. They include some extra shit, but I didn't think they were worth the cash.
The new album is supposed to come out around May, which would be almost exactly 5 years since Lateralus. That album was worth the wait, sure hope this one is.

I remember when Lateralus came out, I was thinking "yeah it could be great, but I won't be too pissed if not." And then I went blind the first time listening to The Grudge.

I've told that story several times, but I did. That ending, completely blind for 20 seconds, I was THAT blown away. Wow.

Yeah, I couldn't fucking believe that album when I first heard it. I'm a younger dude, but I'm really proud to say that I bought that album the day it came out.

Oh yeah and I first discovered Tool on the original Headbanger's Ball, I think I got the album in 1994. I'm not OGT, but I'm close.

Oh, but I saw them perform several ÆNIMA songs in concert before Paul D'amour left the band, so there's my Cool Fan Guy story.

Actually, from what I understand, Lateralus had enough material for a whole seperate album. And that one was like 79 minutes to begin with, sheesh.

I'm really hoping for a double album this time is what I'm saying.
