maine has the "state theater" in portland. i saw arch enemy and slayer there once.

Connecticut is pretty bad. It was ok for about 5 mins. in the 80s.

There is almost nothing left here anymore, only about 2 possibly 3 clubs, almost no bands, the Biggest band from CT in the last decade and a half has been Hatebreed.

It is a shame because there are some amazing musicians around here, and some really well known ones but apparently the state sucks the life out of your ambition to do anything.

yeah it does. there are metalheads there, but the metal "coming in" as in good shows, is another story. one of jeff's guitar heroes was a bit of a celebrity in the aloha state.

With Kansas, it depends on the year I guess. I remember 2004 sucked, 2005 was alright, but 2006 has been good.
