Hi Hat - Jingle Bells

I am using EZdrummer. When mixing, the hi hats always sound like jingle bells instead of swoosh, swoosh. Any ideas on what freq's to drop or add?

Can you turn the high hat mic off and have it (high hats) only in the overhead mics?

I can't stand that mic on DFH2 so I imagine it's the same annoyance in EZ.

Open up the drum map and see what note correspondes to the really open hihat and not the defaut semi-open one.
