I'm looking into buying a hipshot for my Squier bass. My band is playing a show at the end of the month and our main instruments are going to be tuned at EbAbDbGb. One song we have is tuned to DbAbDbGb, so instead of transcribing it to my 5-string Soundgear, I figured I'd buy a hipshot to make things a whole lot easier and avoid switching instruments too much.
When I told my friend about this, he said the hipshot would only get me from E to D, not Eb to Db. I don't really think this is true, but I can only find examples online of E to D. Does anyone know if it could get me from Eb to Db? Sorry if I'm sounding a bit ignorant, since I'm not too knowlegable with hardware.
