HITTMAN

so this is VERY VERY VERY preliminary, but i have been chatting with the band about reissuing the debut album.

Awesome! That is a REALLY good Qryche-clone.

Now, if you could get them to make a follow-up to "Vivas Machina" you'd hear me screaming loud with happiness :) I LOOOOOOVE their mixture of hard rock and prog metal on that one (if Bon Jovi and Geoff Tate ever had a baby together, that's what it would sound like!).

i agree. apparently there are demos between the two albums that have never been released plus the original demo. they haven't said yes yet, but we are chatting a lot about various ideas. probably going to be a box set like SARGANT FURY if i can work it all out.

KILLER CD! "Behind The lines" is a great tune! saw them live with Liege Lord about 20 years ago, it was a great gig!

I'd be very happy to see a re-issue. I was happy to chat with both Dirk and Jim for the Snakepit interview I did way back in the day. I remember hearing about all the material that they composed before the second album hit the streets- so it would be very interesting to hear that material...

Keep up the good work with these box sets and re-issues, you are making the old school followers happy with these releases.

No offense man, but why would you announce this if you haven't had them sign over the rights to the music first? Don't you think it's a bit premature?

It's just conversation... trying to see if anyone remembers the band and/or has interest in the possible reissues. :kickass:

I remember Hittman, good band. Hope it works out for you Matt.

Claus, hope to see you next month at the Raleigh Record & CD Show Nov. 22.

well, we haven't made an official announcement but i figured i would share it with people on the board who (while at PP) expressed an interest in this specific reissue and told me to go after it. so i did and now the band is sorting through all the old demos, video tapes, etc and gathering everything up for me to put together in a box set.

should be fun times for those of us who love the band. the release is "projected" to be 3 CD set with possible DVD of concert footage and new interviews.

ps - i don't take rights from bands. i just reissue music. they keep their rights especially when some of them never saw a penny being on those bigger labels back in the 80's. my reissues are about getting their music heard once again.
