HM2-SSD. Trying to get a good Hm2 sound.

Trying to get a good Hm2 tone out of an amp sim and just practicing mixing in general. Going for a pretty dirty sound yet clear and understandable at the same time.

Very good start, but there is something unpleasant in the mids. I can't really point out what it is but it might be around 1khz.

Yeah, guitars are usually my biggest problem. Ill check that out. Thanks for the reply man.

Just cut some mids or retrack the guitars with different settings.
They take much space.

Although the levels in the mix are pretty off.
You should give more emphasis to the beat than the rhythm section.

That's how the HM-2 is supposed to sound. Unpleasant and full of that 1khz nasality.

I think it sounds great.

Guitars are my First Act (sheena) with an EMG 81 > presonus firestudio > Amplitube 3 with 5150 and hm2 sim > Guitarhacks impulse > Eq > C4.
