Autumn Tears’ "Eclipse"

OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE: Tuesday, October 26th, 2004

Dark Symphonies is extremely excited to finally announce Tuesday, October 26, 2004 as the official world wide release date for AUTUMN TEARS' brand new masterpiece "Eclipse!" After four long years of silence, AUTUMN TEARS return with their most epic, conceptual, and fullest neoclassical piece of music they have ever offered. Lush strings, acoustic guitars, and woodwinds accompany soaring orchestral soundscapes, painting the backdrop for a staggering array of vocal performances that range from operatic and classical solos to Baltic choral passages and duets. "Eclipse" features Erika's angelic voice in her final performance with the band, as well as the talents of Terran Olson (ex-maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot) performing live clarinet and flutes, Greg Ball (ex- Long Winters Stare, Sound of Enoch) performing upright contrabass and classical guitar, and Laurie Ann Haus (Ex-Rain Fell Within, Ephemeral Sun) performing lead and backing vocals. Ted also steps behind the mic once again employing chant and acappella vocal styles, both solo and duet, to further diversify as well as return to the roots of the ever-evolving AUTUMN TEARS’ sound. Beautiful, surreal Illustrations accompany one of the most anticipated musical offerings of the year from one of the most respected musical outfits in the underground music scene. Distributed in the US by IDN, the first 2000 copies of "Eclipse" will come housed in a gorgeous, deluxe eight-panel digipak. Prepare for the magical enchantment that is AUTUMN TEARS' "Eclipse!"

I don't know how someone gets the chutzpah to write this about their own band.

That press release makes me more skeptical about the band. It reads like a series of cliches interspersed with name drops. I know one sheets and crap like that use a certain format and lingo so most stuff uses that style. Still, this one is excessive.
