Remember that bi hog that a kid shot in the U.S...record sized etc ?

Heard the latest ?

The hog was an overfed family "pet" (not quite, but almost), that was sold to a mob called "Lost Creek Plantation", where they charge people money to chase and kill animals inside a fenced area (albeit a few thousand acres).

Said huge boar was released onto the place, and this kid and his family paid to chase it around and kill it.

I did a double-take at that too. Then I read the rest of Shannow's post, and it made me angry. What makes me angry about stuff like this is that people who condemn films like Hostel (which is a fictional film about people being harvested to be murdered and tortured by rich people) as being exploitational and so very wrong probably wouldn't have the slightest problem with a crowd like the Lost Creek Plantation, which is a real-life mob doing much the same thing. Except it's with animals, and real, so I guess that makes it ok.

It's also a fake. It's a big pig, yes, but it's not the 1000+ monster that the kid and his dad are saying it is.

The photos are all staged and photoshopped.

They are staged, and perspective is used selectively, i.e.

I think the weight was right, which you'd expect from a pig that's been fed canned sweet potato (WTF??)

Looks like a giant black cat to me!

np; Who would take any pride in hunting down and killing what was a tame animal? It's like rabbit shooting at a kindergarten fete. :Smug:
