The hog was an overfed family "pet" (not quite, but almost), that was sold to a mob called "Lost Creek Plantation", where they charge people money to chase and kill animals inside a fenced area (albeit a few thousand acres).

Said huge boar was released onto the place, and this kid and his family paid to chase it around and kill it.

Then I read the rest of Shannow's post, and it made me angry. What makes me angry about stuff like this is that people who condemn films like Hostel (which is a fictional film about people being harvested to be murdered and tortured by rich people) as being exploitational and so very wrong probably wouldn't have the slightest problem with a crowd like the Lost Creek Plantation, which is a real-life mob doing much the same thing. Except it's with animals, and real, so I guess that makes it ok.
