I heard Munich SUCKED ASS, not that I'm surprised. IMO, none of the pics nominated were all that great, or didn't seem all that great to me. But really, that's no different then EVER, except when LOTR was nominated.

I did not at all realize the Oscars were tonight.
As someone mentioned in another thread, the probably with BBM isn't that it's a gay movie, it's that it's a chick flick. If it were a GOOD western in which the protagonists happened to be gay, with lots of shooting and stuff, thumbs up. But instead they explore their feelings. Weak.

Three-6-Mafia is fucking kick-ass, and most people into RAP would agree (they're pretty revered in a cult-like way, in case y'all didn't know that). Elitist hip-hop types (who say, worship MF DOOM) would beg to differ, but yeah, you know.

I practically fell out of my seat when Crash won. I thought Brokeback was a forgone conclusion. Did you see Jack Nicholson mouth the word, "woah", after announcing the winner? Haha, I think everyone was expecting BBM.
I thought Crash was EXCELLENT, I really did. I got so sucked into it. The night we watched it, we actually had to stop it halfway through just to take a breather and discuss all that was going on, impressions, bias, etc. And the scene where the girl gets shot....my heart literally shattered into tiny pieces.
So glad it won the oscar for best screenplay too. Thing is, it's one of those films that I could NEVER watch again. Once is enough, it's just too exhausting.
