THIS WEEK ON YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW: If you were a metal fan back in the 80s and early 90s, then you remember the onslaught of hairbands that dominated the genre. While there were always your Poison's and Warrant's that got huge, there were 15 times as many bands that didn't. Seemingly, everyone had a talent for making this kind of music, but only a few could be chosen to take it to the masses. Still, there were a ton of great bands out there. CLEO RECORDS (we're mighty proud to be working with Cleo) has put together a brilliant 4-CD box set called HOLLYWOOD ROCKS, which encompasses that era of the Hollywood Strip's best bands that, mostly, never made it huge. We'll be doing a new music listening party for the box set, as well as interviewing several of the bands from that time to find out what they've been up to since the glory days.
