Because no variety of music is indefinetly linked to a religion/ethics or belief structure. It's just that BM has been typically associated with Paganism and Anti Christain themes because it was bands witch followed those beliefs happen to use it as a way of putting their own opinions and ideals across. Early BM going right back to the likes of Venom was occult perhaps even Atheistic, but no anti Christian. It's good music, why question it?

oh well, nothing spectacular about it if you ask me .. I listened to it objectively, and really, not that special .. it seems to me the only reason it gets this attention here is again because it is a christian band .. oh well..
@ Powers: how more wrong can you be, stating that there was BM as musicform but without it being conceived by bands with ideas, and then there came anti-christian bands who thought, hey that BM is something we can use. of course this is NOT the way it happened .. but oh well, I won't start this discussion again idd.

Why not? It's an interesting discussion. I've a different opinion to you but nonetheless i find your's interesting.

There's actually an interesting book called "Holy Blood" as well, in the vein of Da Vinci code, minus the fiction. Still not sure if I believe it, but it is still intriguing.
It's the sequel so far as i know.
Anyhow we're getting off topic. Your opinions on Holy Blood the band please.

The Line Begins To blur.
I reviewed this album to a web zine and gave it something like 4 out of 10. Yes, it is that bad. Ok, it has potential (to a very limited extent, though), but overall its just another wannabe-folk metal band. And I won't even start with the "Christian pagan metal" concept...
Basically, I just wanted to get the rest of the Holy Blood residues out of my system. Plus, I don't understand why anyone would want to discuss this band at an Opeth forum.
