I love the music but that singer just doesn't sound good for me. He's just got the wrong kind of glammy weak tone for classic trad metal IMO. The band kicks ass though especially the wonderfully fluid guitars which are just awesome.

Saw them with Seven Kingdoms and Blind Guardian - and I think you just summed up my experience of their show. Really impressive playing - their lead guitarist was a great balance of showman + musician... but their lead singer sort of annoyed me.

Don't get me wrong - he absolutely worked his ass off, and I give him an A for effort. He was just a little to over the top glam for me - it did not mesh with the rest of the band's sound. That said, I really enjoyed their set. That was simply a butt-kicking good night of music.

I love this band. The singer is what makes them an interesting mix of melody and old school metal. Saw them open for Exodus and they more than held their own.

I liked 3 songs off their debut, but not enough for me to buy it or continue being interested in the band. It isn't "bad" music, I just feel like these classic metal knockoff bands aren't really unique enough to hold my interest.

Love this band, need to get this CD asap. The singer for some reason reminds me of Ray Alder at times, not sure why. Might be note choices or something. Not tone.

Picked up this CD the other day and so far it's one of my favorites I've bought recently. I understand the criticism of it being a classic metal knockoff or sounding too 80's, but I don't really think that's the case. To me, and I'm an old school 80's metal child, this is fresh. The lead guitarist is top-notch and the vocals sound much better on this CD than on the previous effort. Plus, they kick-ass in concert.
