Just saw a message on Facebook that Holy Martyr has finished their new album and they switched things up a bit and based the songs on feudal Japan.

Holy Martyr said:
Our third album will be officially released in the end of May 2011.

It will be titled "INVINCIBLE".

Here is the tracklist:

1. Iwo Jima
2. Invincible
3. Lord Of War
4. Ghost Dog
5. The Soul Of My Katana
6. Shichinin No Samurai
7. Takeda Shingen
8. Kagemusha
9. Sekigahara
10. Zatoichi

We are pushing our limits once again, so...many songs were inspired by the history of ancient Japan, by the figure of the Samurai Warrior and especially by the filmography of Akira Kurosawa, the master of Epic Cinema.

Anyway, it's not a concept album.

Roberto Tiranti from Labyrinth will be a guest in the suite 'Kagemusha'.

We've changed also our artwork style, with a different illustrator. The main character on the front cover is Zatoichi, featured by Shintaro Katsu.

Whoa.

I fucking love Holy Martyr, especially their sophomore effort, Hellenic Warrior Spirit. This should be very cool, I was hugely interested in Japanese culture/history/mythology when I was a bit younger. If the songs aren't equally as fist-raising and glorious, I'll be mighty pissed.

thought there other two were pretty good. I will have to pick this up when it comes out. I literally thought they were done since they seemed to have been so inactive as of late.
