I'd say calling either hardcore is debatable, but I'd also wholeheartedly recommend both.

Are Human Remains considered a HC band? If not, what? They're not Death Metal by the "-ion" standard, that's for sure. Anyway, I like them. Knut are also okay, and I second a lot of spazgrind like The Red Chord, DEP, The Locust, The End etc. Neurosis, ISIS and Cult of Luna are all excellent, but I can't see what they have to do with Hardcore, eventhough everybody in that scene usually puts them in that category.

Halo might appeal to some of you people also.

Candiria are good, but I kind of prefer their pure hip hop songs. Those seem to be the ones I play the most.
