Holy shit - Ola Frenning leaves Soilwork!!

You guys ever see E-Town Concrete?

Talk about some fucking jersey boys... and not the fun kind [ie God Forbid]

I don't know anyone who listens to them... I'd love to see some SoundScan numbers.

For who, Throwdown or Soilwork?

I think you'd be VERY dissappointed.

EDIT
as of 10-25-07 Throwdown had sold 26,500 of Venom and Tears and was released in August of '07. Last tally I have for Sworn to a Great Divide (released in Oct. of 07) is around 7,000 US sales.

Double Edit:

No sales figures, but here's the charting positions, which could help shed light on how well known the bands are:

Yeah, I think lots of people..even smart, 'knowledgeable' people....have really warped concepts of sales figures and band income for that matter.
There also seems to be some misconception about just how much it cost to go on tour particularly if you have to get visas for a whole band (and sometimes crew).
So everyone go buy some fucking records...

nwright - I was actually asking for both, and you found both, thanks!!

Crazy, I guess I've never paid much attention to Throwdown and figured they were just another "get in the van" hardcore band. Turns out they are, but with strong sales for some reason...

7000 copies of Sworn to a Great Divide so far and that's considered Soilwork's fastest seller yet? Depressing...

Just got back from watching Soilwork here in Tampere.

The new guitarist did his part admirably, although his choices in guitars weren't exactly what I'd call "metal".. :) (Music Man/OLP)
5150 and 6505 and a ValveKing (don't know if it was used or was just a back-up, was paying more attention to the show.. and the pit!)

Dirk is a great drummer!
