There's more to dark music than metal or Opeth. Other bands have been doing it 3x as long.

Morrissey and his work with The Smiths was brilliant, and Depeche Mode have practically created depressive (modern) rock/electronica.

I actually went to see Depeche Mode live a couple of days ago (have been wanting to do so since 1984, but never had the chance). Damn! I was pleasantly surprised. They're great live.

The only thing I could complain about is that I would have wanted to hear/see some more of the older songs instead of 7 songs from the latest album, but I do understand that they want to promote it.

Erm excuse me, but I don't like Killswitch Engage, and I don't really like Metal that much either actually, 10 bands at most.

I think the smiths were and will always remain shite, boring and uninteresting. Don't go around making assumptions about my music taste just because I don't conform to your favourite bands list.
