Holy shit this is so loud

I don´t mix very loud from the beggining

I thought that was the case looking at the settings, I keep stuff at a decent volume but with some headroom of course all I usually need to do is about 4.5db on the SSL and maybe .5db on each Gclip. Not checking RMS or anything, but it sounds like id destory it if I really cranked it up any futher. I don't go past 4db reduction on the SSL though.

man.. ive tried several times tweaking to get the loudness to go pass -10db. i can only go up to around -14db to -12db. However most of my clients r happy with my work since they didnt notice tht their mix really needs to get crank a bit..heheh.

Btw, does audio card has something to do with this since i cant get into wat u guys have been chaining during mastering? i only have my UX2.

About the audio card thing.. i cant chime in with facts, but i did notice a increase of volume left to use when i master now, i used to have a M-audio card and not it's a RME interface.. it seems that i can push it more now.

I wouldn't get used to that though dude, cuz you gotta realize a lot of people will be listening with cheaper D/A converters that won't be able to handle it.
