This is not "demands", nor "requests," but merely "hopes" Its not our band, Warrel, Jeff and the guys can do whatever they want and I wont complain. But here are a few things I hope for the new record.
- more blunt lyrics. My favorite thing about Politics was the raw anger and passion in the lyrics and the singing. Same with DNB. No bullshit. I hate when people write lyrics without a clear meaning, for the "fans to decide what it means to them" Thats retarded! I dont care what I think, I wanna know what YOU think, and to show me why its logical.
- I dont mind 7 strings, but it would be cool if the songs were WRITTEN on 6 strings, and the 7 string used in the recording process as something to chunk it up.
- More Jason becker like WRITING. Not just soloing. Dead Heart had lots of bitchin solos, but part of Beckers thing was making the composition just as virtuostic as the shredding. I know Loomis is into this shit, I hope he sees that dumbing the musicv down only alienates the long time fans!
