Horl

Thankfully I didn't see it until much later.

Still stumped about your great dislike for Mother Russia....I played it to one of my friends many years ago, and both made him an instant fan, and inspired him to start playing guitar again. I know it isn't considered a classic to most, but I never thought it would be rated so low.

Mother Russia is cool. I've always liked Alexander The Great myself. I've always thought Fear Of The Dark was one of their weakest albums. Powerslave rules!

Worst Maiden songs ever:

Weekend Warrior
Angel and the Gambler
The Apparition

I just never get tired of mentioning these stinkers as their worst songs, it makes me feel so much better to know that even a great band like Maiden can produce turkeys like these.

Are those re-released albums for $9.95 remastered? Can you hear much of a difference?

Certainly can. The only ones I have that aren't remastered (had them before I bought the Eddie's Head box) are Number Of The Beast and Fear Of The Dark, and the remasters sound much better. I don't mind listening to the original version of NOTB just for the vibe on songs like Children Of The Damned, but if I want to do that I usually dig out the vinyl anyway.

Not sure if I would replace my whole collection just for the remasters, but for $10...

I don't understand people's dislike for Weekend Warrior.

Dunno why I hate Mother Russia, just always have, ever since I first heard No Prayer.

I got Score the other week. Dunno what to think of it so far. The documentary was OK but they barely spoke to guys like Derek and Chuck D - I wanted to know what they thought of being booted from the band.
